Jeff Rum, Founder and CEO (Chief Education Officer) of Ignite is passionate about digital marketing and organizations that have a greater purpose. An award-winning digital strategist, educator and public speaker, Jeff has nearly 15 years experience in digital strategy, branding, and marketing. Prior to founding Ignite, Jeff served as President and Chief Marketing Officer at SPARK Experience, a user experience (UX) design agency in Bethesda, MD where he continues to serve as a principal member of the company.

While at Blackbaud (formerly Covio), Emily Goodstein empowered non-profit clients to achieve online fundraising and advocacy success. Emily managed a wide range of enterprise accounts including internationally focused relief and aid groups local and regional food banks and DC based advocacy organizations. Prior to serving as Client Success Manager at Blackbaud, Emily was the Director of Student Engagement at Religious Coalition for Reproductive Choice.



Jonathan Gruber

Principal of Black Eye Productions, Jonathan has directed award-winning documentary films, commercials, and videos.Projects that Gruber directed and produced have screened at festivals and in theaters nationwide and around the world, and have aired on PBS, The History Channel, National Geographic, Discovery Networks, and more. Jonathan’s focus on storytelling and his ability to create engaging video content for the web brings real-world experience to his teaching and presentations.


Shreya Kothaneth

As Director of UX Research at SPARK Experience, Shreya Kothaneth manages a research team that explores how humans interact with technology in order to create useful engaging products. For the bulk of her professional and academic career Shreya has been deeply immersed in the world of UX. She holds a Ph.D. from Virginia Tech in Industrial and Systems Engineering where she specialized in Human Factors and Ergonomics.


Sheila Walsh

Sheila Walsh is a communications professional specializing in audience research, communications strategy, and print and digital media. Sheila’s experience links research, business goals, and usability to web development, content writing, and design. She has led trainings on how to create and publish engaging digital content that is easy to find, use, and read. Prior to working as an independent consultant, Sheila was a Senior Content Strategy and Usability Consultant at Palladian Partners in Washington, DC.
